GHX Wins Corporate Award for A Precious Child’s Fill A Backpack Challenge
For the fourth time, GHX took home the top prize for A Precious Child’s Fill A Backpack corporate challenge. Fill A Backpack provides backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies to children in need to maximize their academic potential. A Precious Child maximizes the number of backpacks and school supplies they can provide to children by working with community partners such as GHX to collect donations. In 2021, GHX colleagues joined the effort, ensuring the children in our community begin each school year with the tools they need to excel academically.
This year, attendees had several opportunities to choose a recipient for Summit donations. Attendees were able to choose from three non-profits, Canine Assisted Therapy, Direct Relief, and Wounded Warrior Project while shopping with their Summit Points at the Summit Store. Over the course of the 3-day event, attendees donated a total of $5,437.50 to the three non-profits. GHX also donated an additional $5000 to Canine Assisted Therapy.
GHX Donates to the American Red Cross to support Ukraine Humanitarian efforts
In support of the ongoing Ukraine Humanitarian crisis, GHX and its employees donated a total of $7,250 to the American Red Cross throughout the month of March 2022. These donations were used to support the American Red Cross as they assist at-risk families by providing food, fuel for heating, medical supplies and housing.
GHX and Employees donate to aid in the aftermath of the Marshall Fire
A historic wildfire hit Colorado in December 2021, forcing the evacuation of more than 30,000 people in the communities surrounding GHX headquarters in Louisville. The Marshall Fire is considered to be the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history, with hundreds of homes destroyed by the fast-moving flames. To assist the impacted communities, GHX and its employees donated $125,073 to the American Red Cross, A Precious Child, and the Boulder County Wildfires.
This year during our first all-digital Summit20 Experience, attendees will have many opportunities to choose a recipient for Summit20 Impact Donations. Register for Summit20 and join us virtually for a dynamic opportunity to advance knowledge, share best practices and network. During some of your Summit20 experiences you’ll be able to choose either Hero Dogs or Direct Relief to receive GHX impact donations.
GHX Employees donating to fire and hurricane relief
GHX employees have been donating to the Red Cross helping with the thousands losing their homes due to wildfires and hurricanes. To help those affected, please consider donating directly to the American Red Cross: https://www.redcross.org/.
GHX employees collectively raised over $20,000K toward backpacks and school supplies this July, 2021 for A Precious Child’s ‘Fill A Backpack’ Challenge. For 6 years the GHX team has stepped up to make a real difference for disadvantaged children in the Denver-metro area. Providing donations of brand new backpacks and school supplies helps these kids feel prepared and confident for the year ahead.
The Atlanta GHX team led a "Thanksgiving in July" themed food drive this summer for the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB). This was a great way to support the health of the Atlanta community during a time of year that many food banks and donation centers receive less attention. Over the month of July they raised $1,000 and 41 food items. The ACFB partners with many organizations to serve the community in a variety of different ways, from school breakfast and lunch programs, food assistance and health education programs, food distribution to underserved areas, and food distribution from their facility.
GHX Omaha continues to make donations to Foodbank for the Heartland while they are unable to volunteer in-person due to COVID-19. In 2019, the GHX Omaha volunteers donated a total of 3,240 meals to this organization.

Colorado Uplift works to build long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth. The organization employs full-time teachers and mentors that are available 24/7 to support students beginning in grade 2 all the way through college.
GHX has been a giving partner to the organization for over 10 years. We were pleased to enter into a corporate sponsorship in 2019 to support this unique outreach to Denver youth. Employees participate in Colorado adventure activities like group hikes, snowboarding and horseback riding with students.
A Precious Child aims to bridge the gap in children’s education so they can become secure, self-reliant, contributing members of their communities as adults. They work with more than 440 agency partners throughout eight Denver, Colorado Metro counties.
