As President and CEO of GHX, Tina Vatanka Murphy is leading a bold transformation of one of the world’s most complex and consequential industries: healthcare. At the helm of a technology company connecting an extensive network of health systems and suppliers, Tina is driving the next era of innovation by infusing the healthcare supply chain with AI, automation and actionable intelligence. Her vision is clear: to build a future where affordable, quality healthcare is possible for all—and to do it by modernizing the way care is delivered, supplied and sustained.

Tina’s journey to the C-suite spans more than two decades, beginning in frontline sales and rising through the ranks by consistently delivering results and redefining what’s possible. Since joining GHX shortly after its inception in 2000, she has held pivotal leadership roles across the globe, from serving as president of GHX Europe to leading global product and corporate development. Her career has been marked by purposeful growth, customer-first strategies and an unwavering commitment to innovation and operational excellence.

Today, Tina is spearheading GHX’s deployment of intelligent automation, cloud-based supply chain management and autonomous workflows that empower providers and suppliers alike. These innovations are reimagining procurement, improving data transparency and strengthening resilience across a fragile healthcare system. Under her leadership, GHX is helping organizations—including many of healthcare’s leading integrated hospital systems—navigate disruptions, mitigate shortages and improve patient outcomes, all while advancing more adaptive and sustainable global supply chains.

A purpose-driven leader, Tina believes technology must serve a higher mission: improve lives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she led GHX’s award-winning response by doubling down on listening to customers, fueling growth and deeper partnerships. She has also championed leadership development, building high-performing teams grounded in trust, clarity and shared accountability.

Tina’s contributions have been recognized across the industry, with honors including Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s “2025 Pros to Know,” a Stevie Award for GHX’s pandemic response and distinction as one of Authority Magazine’s “Influential Women in STEM and Technology.” Under her leadership, GHX continues to earn accolades as one of healthcare’s most impactful software companies.

With a rare blend of operational expertise, customer insight and visionary leadership, she is uniquely positioned to speak on the future of AI, the radical reimagination of supply chains and what it takes to lead through great change—with clarity, courage and purpose. Tina holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University.

Chris Batson

Chief Financial Officer

As the chief financial officer (CFO) of GHX, Chris Batson is responsible for directing the company’s fiscal functions. He also provides strategic leadership by working with the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. Batson is committed to maximizing long-term value for customers and equity holders and fostering growth initiatives. 

Batson brings a unique blend of experience, including extensive experience in general management, business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, capital structure management and private and public company management. 

Prior to being named CFO in 2021, Batson served as the company’s Vice-President, Finance and Accounting. In this role, he was responsible for the company’s Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, Audit, Financial Reporting and Controllership functions. Before joining GHX, Batson held a variety of C-suite and senior business and finance leadership functions at organizations such as ACS Group, Ciber Inc., TeleTech Holdings and NCR Corporation. 

Batson holds an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Tennessee.  

Steve Jackson

Chief Revenue Officer

As chief revenue officer (CRO) for GHX, Steve Jackson is responsible for driving strategy and execution for the core functions of sales, customer success, customer adoption and go-to-market operations. On a mission to help make healthcare more affordable, accessible and people-centered, Jackson works to unite healthcare providers, suppliers and industry partners, and helps them realize operational, financial, clinical, and strategic improvements from GHX solutions and services.  

Jackson joined GHX in 2020 after six years as president of National Research Corporation (NRC) Health, where he led the growth of NRC’s market capitalization from $350M to more than $1.5B. During his tenure, employee and customer satisfaction scores more than doubled.  

Prior to NRC, Jackson was chief strategy officer for Vocera Communications. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at The Advisory Board Company, Neoforma and Stockamp & Associates. 

Jackson has served as a board member and strategic advisor to several startup companies. He is passionate about developing future leaders, solving complex problems, and giving back to the healthcare technology industry. 

Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.

Chrystie Leonard

Chief Customer Experience Officer

As chief customer experience officer (CCXO) for GHX, Leonard is responsible for building and managing onshore and offshore operations teams, including customer care, support, delivery, automation, utilization, research and content. She also provides leadership and oversight for GHX’s Count Inventory Management and Explorer businesses. Through her work, she supports GHX in delivering both transformational products and a seamless best-in-class customer experience.  

Leonard brings to the company strong commercial, strategic, operational and financial leadership, and expertise in creating, accelerating, optimizing and growing businesses. She has an undeniable passion for developing talent and fostering innovation with the belief that great results come from putting people first.  

She joined GHX in 2019 as general manager of GHX Vendormate, helping drive double digit, year-over-year growth alongside increased customer satisfaction ratings for the business unit. Through the efforts of Leonard and her team, GHX earned a 2022 MedTech Breakthrough Award in Compliance Management Innovation for its Vendormate self-service kiosk solution.  

Leonard founded and operated a multi-location urgent care provider organization, BestCare Now, and owns Nascent Medical, a medical communications company. Previously, she held senior leadership roles within Siemens Diagnostics, Covidien/Medtronic and Bard Medical, leading teams responsible for closing billion-dollar acquisitions, creating companywide strategic plans, forming new divisions, developing innovative products, and turning around ailing businesses. 

In 2021, Leonard was named one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s “Pros to Know.” She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Boston College, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from Babson College, and a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics from Boston University.

Laura Dunbar

Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications & Chief of Staff

Laura Dunbar joined the company in 2018, bringing more than two decades of marketing leadership experience concentrated in healthcare and IT-related organizations. 

Prior to joining GHX, Dunbar served as vice president of Marketing at GetWellNetwork, a leading provider of patient engagement technology solutions. She has also held marketing and leadership roles at West Corporation, as vice president of Marketing Strategy for the healthcare practice, and VMware, where she led product marketing for the company’s IT Business Management and IT Benchmarking solutions. 

Dunbar holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and a master’s degree in Business Administration for Marketing from San Jose State University. 

Nedzad Fajic

President, GHX Europe

As president of GHX Europe, Nedzad Fajic directs the European leadership team, leads the company's European operations and supports customer success. Fajic expanded the footprint of GHX in Europe through regional growth and product extension initiatives. He successfully serves healthcare manufacturer and provider customers and helps to lower supply chain costs through automation, accuracy and efficiency throughout the European market. During his tenure, GHX Europe won the Healthcare Supply Chain Solution Company of the Year 2013 Award from Frost & Sullivan, in Paris. 

Fajic brings more than 20 years of IT and leadership experience with some of Europe's largest and most successful companies. Before joining GHX, Fajic was the regional vice president at Infor Global Solutions for Central Europe. Prior to that he led, as vice president, SAP’s channel business in DACH for several years and spent seven years at Siemens in different vice president and managing director roles. Fajic started his career in Finance at Deutsche Telekom in Germany. 

In 2011, Fajic was voted one of the 100 most influential people working in technology in Germany (by an independent jury under the supervision of IDG Business Media/Channel Partner). 

Fajic earned a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Cologne, received a Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from the University Politehnica of Bucharest and completed the Executive Doctor of Business Administration program at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. 

Chris Luoma

Chief Strategy Officer

As chief strategy officer (CSO) for GHX, Chris Luoma brings a deep understanding of the market, GHX customers, and the product portfolio, having previously served in multiple product management roles at GHX. Bringing together a diversity of perspectives from customers and employees, Luoma works to ensure a cohesive strategy is woven into every decision at GHX. He is passionate about driving a deep understanding of our strategy across GHX. He believes this is a key component to an engaged employee base and world-class customer experience.   

Luoma joined GHX in 2014 as part of the Vendormate acquisition, where he was vice president of Business Development.  Prior to Vendormate, Luoma served as director of Product Marketing for Bottomline Technologies, working with clients and market thought leaders to make payment and document-centric interactions between customers, suppliers and employees more productive and efficient 

Before Bottomline Technologies, Luoma held a number of roles at Optio Software with a focus on helping healthcare organizations acquire and implement automated solutions for clinical and financial document management.  Luoma came to Optio Software via the acquisition of a healthcare startup focused on electronic health records. 

Luoma is a graduate of Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. 

Liz Rafferty

Chief People Officer

Liz Rafferty joined GHX in 2026, bringing more than 25 years of experience in people leadership across global technology and professional services businesses. Prior to joining GHX, Rafferty served as Chief People Officer at Ness Digital Engineering, following senior people leadership roles at dentsu and Merkle and nearly two decades at Accenture. Her experience spans leadership development, employee learning and growth and bringing teams together across countries and cultures. She also served as Executive Director of Genesys Works Chicago, a nonprofit that helps underserved young people build skills and access career opportunities.
