Honoring GHX's 2017 Supply Chain Pros

This week Supply & Demand Chain Executive announced the recipients of its annual “Pros to Know” award, which recognizes the industry’s top supply chain professionals. It’s my pleasure to share that not one, but two GHX executives were chosen to receive this year’s recognition: Pete Nelson and Chris Louma. 

Pete, who has been part of the GHX team for more than 15 years, was recognized for his role on our executive team leading the re-design and requirements of the GHX CoreX-powered Exchange. With CoreX, we have reset healthcare’s expectations for supply chain exchanges. A transition of this scale is never easy. Pete and his team have done an outstanding job working tireless hours to help ensure that GHX delivers a world-class e-commerce platform to support healthcare providers and suppliers for years to come. 

Chris has been a valued member of our team since the Vendormate acquisition in 2014. He is a well-respected industry expert, who often speaks at national and regional healthcare conferences, including AHRMM and HIMSS. Chris was recognized as a “Pro to Know” for his work in bringing business intelligence and predictive analytics to the supply chain, as well as addressing payments as the “last mile” in healthcare through our acquisition of Hap-X.

As GHX’s reputation grows, and our expertise becomes more widespread, our team members are being recognized for their contributions to the healthcare industry. As I wrote in January, we are excited about the leadership role that Karen Conway currently holds for the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) as national chair of the supply chain-focused organization, which is part of the American Hospital Association.
