As a collaborative community dedicated to supporting the needs of our members, GHX provides a variety of support and service offerings to accelerate healthcare's adoption of global data standards.

Industry education and support

• GHX Global Standards User Group: GHX providers, suppliers and business partners meet on a regular basis, leveraging their mutual participation in the GHX exchange to address challenges, find solutions and develop best practices in standards adoption.
• GHX standards education paper series: GHX offers a series of educational papers (see resources at right) to help increase awareness and understanding of global data standards and address specific supplier and provider challenges.
• GHX standards webinar and podcast series: GHX hosts webinars and produces podcasts on global data standards featuring presentations by healthcare providers, suppliers, regulators and industry thought leaders (see resources at right).
• GHX articles and commentary: GHX regularly provides expert content and commentary to the healthcare trade media on the topic of global data standardization (see resources at right).

Provider service offerings

• Registration of GS1 Global Location Numbers (GLNs) in the GHX exchange and communication of necessary information to trading partner pairs that have disparate technologies and/or protocols that otherwise restrict the use of GLNs
• Reconciliation of account numbers to GLNs with trading partners for shipping and billing consistency
• Trading services that provide necessary cross-referencing, enabling transactions between trading partner pairs that have disparate technologies and/or protocols that otherwise restrict use of GLNs

Supplier service offerings

• Customer Master Cleanse service through which GHX appends provider GLNs to a manufacturer’s customer master data, enabling manufacturers to propagate this standard for organization identification throughout their internal systems

The GHX Health ConneXion^SM Data Pool
The true value of data standardization comes not in adopting the standards themselves but in synchronizing the data with external trading partners and utilizing it in business transactions. The GHX Health ConneXion data pool enables suppliers to publish standardized product data to GS1’s Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) so that it can be accessed by trading partners across the globe. It is the only GDSN-certified data pool focused solely on the healthcare industry.

The GHX Health ConneXion data pool provides a single connection through which healthcare trading partners can share and access GS1 standard identifiers, including Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) and Global Location Numbers (GLNs), through the GDSN to improve the accuracy of business transactions and comply with emerging global data standards initiatives.

Through GHX Health ConneXion, you can leverage your existing GHX connectivity to more readily participate in the GDSN without significant implementation costs. Healthcare suppliers and providers not integrated to GHX can participate in the GHX Health ConneXion data pool as a standalone service.
