How it works


PowerGate is a GS1-certified system with configuration that can be tailored to meet different hospital and department needs. PowerGate product data (including GTINs) is fed by Nexus, our cloud-based catalogue system. Stock is issued out and can be recorded to a patient record using mobile scanning devices. When stock needs replenishing, electronic purchase orders are generated and routed through GHX Exchange Services. Once goods are received, stock levels are adjusted accordingly.

Implementing PowerGate


We provide a dedicated solution expert to come in house to understand your requirements and drive the installation, working directly with your IT department, clinicians and supplies team as required. This includes setting up the database, any hand-held equipment, as well as cleansing and classifying your data, if required. We train all members of your staff who will be using the system prior to go live and provide ongoing customer support once you are up and running.
