Leeds Teaching Hospital hosting Scan4Safety workshops

The Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust has been running a three day event this week, aiming to provide a clear insight and understanding around the Scan4Safety programme to other NHS Trusts. Day 1 was based around the ‘Knowledge Café’, where various expert groups were given a taster of the work Scan4Safety has achieved and to discuss ideas for its future. The second day provided various workshop demonstrations following a patient journey from registering as an inpatient, their time on the ward and the eventual arrival in theatres.

One of the workshops was focused around GHX’s PowerGate Inventory Management Solution. GHX is excited to have been part of this, supporting Khuram Khan, eProcurement Technical Administrator and Tom Bradley, Inventory Manager within the Scan4Safety Implementation Team, with questions around the solution. In follow up sessions which took place on the final day, both returning organisations from previous events and some new Trusts were invited to these same demonstrations as well as further in depth discussions to best prepare them for their own Scan4Safety journeys.
