Global Healthcare Exchange Welcomes Three New Distributor Members
|
WESTMINSTER, Colo.-May 9, 2001-Global Healthcare Exchange, LLC (GHX), an Internet-based provider of business-to-business procurement solutions for the healthcare marketplace, has added three new distributor members: Buffalo Hospital Supply, Grogan's Healthcare Supply and Pharmed Group Corporation.
"Our decision to join Global Healthcare Exchange reflects our belief in the value of streamlining and automating the healthcare supply chain," says Pharmed Group Corporation CEO Carlos C?edes. "By connecting to GHX's catalog, we will be able to continue to improve the service we provide our customers."
The industry standard catalog, designed for the purchase of both medical and non-medical products, was created to reduce the overall procurement costs by simplifying the supply chain process. Hospital members can access the Web-based catalog through their choice of front-end systems. Manufacturers and distributors will have the tools to efficiently review and update their catalog information instantaneously, further meeting their customers' requirements for accurate information and reduced order reconciliations.
"With each new member who joins GHX, we add depth and efficiency, helping us to cut costs and increase convenience to our hospital members," says GHX President Mike Mahoney. "Working with these distributors will help us reach our goal of developing the first true industry standard catalog, enabling us to address the inefficiencies that currently plague our healthcare system."
