Tina Vatanka Murphy
Vice President, Strategic Market Development
A senior healthcare executive, Tina Vatanka Murphy has nearly 15 years of leadership experience driving sales and solidifying profitable partnerships. Since joining GHX in May 2000, she has adopted increasing responsibility within the company’s supplier sales, services and marketing organizations.
In her current role as vice president of Strategic Market Development, Murphy is taking a leadership role in supplier strategy around penetration of current markets and expansion into new markets. This entails a focus on aligning supplier strategy and market execution.
Previously, she served as vice president of Supplier Sales and Services, where she led supplier recruitment efforts within GHX and oversaw professional services to optimize suppliers’ use of the exchange and maximize the value realized. In this role, she drove cross-functional teams, including product management, finance and marketing, to assess market needs and bring new products to market.
Murphy has also served as executive director of Supplier Membership and as a corporate account manager for GHX. She began her tenure as market development manager, collaborating with providers on e-commerce initiatives to drive supply chain efficiencies.
Before joining GHX, Murphy worked for BBraun|McGaw, managing a team of sales representatives throughout the Northeast as region manager. During her five years at BBraun, she also served as a regional account executive, infusion systems specialist and continuing care territory manager.
Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University.
