Cheryl Flury
Vice President Corporate Communications
Cheryl Flury brings 25 years of experience in healthcare marketing and information technology to her position as vice president of corporate communications for GHX. In this role, Flury oversees all internal and external communications efforts, including corporate branding, marketing, public relations and industry relations.
The GHX corporate communications team develops and implements strategic plans, programs and events to support customers and drive the company’s growth. By gathering input from providers and suppliers to help guide GHX’s product development efforts, and in turn, communicating to customers how they can derive the greatest value from GHX’s solutions, Flury and her team ensure that the company is meeting both the current and future needs of the healthcare marketplace.
Flury joined GHX as director of marketing in 2000 with the acquisition of Centrimed, Inc. In the early phase of GHX, she executed a successful marketing communications strategy that helped establish the company’s brand identity and secure its market leadership position. Under her direction, GHX launched award-winning brand advertising campaigns, earning acclaim from leading industry publications including Modern Healthcare and Materials Management in Healthcare.
During her eight-year tenure, Flury has enhanced the GHX customer experience by implementing new programs that provide added value and support. Among these efforts, she grew the company’s annual Supply Chain Summit from an internal meeting of GHX equity owners to a 650-person interactive user group where providers and suppliers share best practices in healthcare supply chain processes. Under her leadership, GHX has achieved exceptional customer satisfaction scores, with 90 percent of GHX customers willing to recommend the company to their peer groups.
Prior to joining GHX, Flury held executive-level positions with companies serving various sectors of the healthcare industry, where she leveraged her combined expertise in marketing and technology to support product development and grow market share. As director of marketing for Micromedex, she transitioned the company’s drug reference database from a monthly CD-ROM mailing to an interactive web-based tool. Earlier in her career, she planned and managed educational information technology conferences, including the industry’s first healthcare server conference.
Flury holds bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communications and Marketing.
