Nils Clausen
General Manager, Canada
As general manager for GHX Canada, Nils Clausen oversees all of the company’s Canadian business operations. He plays a key role in healthcare supplier and provider adoption, major account relationships and business development opportunities. Serving in this leadership capacity since the inception of GHX in 2000, Clausen has also helped grow the business steadily over the years with his team through sales and marketing activities.
Prior to GHX, Clausen spent 14 years as a sales and marketing executive for healthcare manufacturers and distributors. His experience with Beamscope Canada involved successfully managing various business divisions as well as a team of product managers and related inventory assets. He also helped to develop and implement an inventory liquidation process that resulted from a CCAA filing. Prior to Beamscope, Clausen developed extensive healthcare supply-chain experience through positions with Source Medical Corporation, Alcon Canada, Baxter Corporation and Covidien.
Upholding GHX’s commitment to promoting the use of standards throughout the healthcare industry, Clausen has been a founding member and serves as co-chair of the Healthcare Supply Chain Network (HSCN), an industry organization focused on education and development of leading practices for healthcare supply chain management in Canada.In total, Clausen has over 20 years experience in healthcare and supply chain areas.
Clausen graduated from the University of Western Ontario, Huron College, with a degree emphasizing economics and business.
